Meet the Fairies!

Dr. Teresa Poorman-Maaske (Dr. Tari)

Kearney has been the home of Dr. Poorman for 40 plus years. She is known to her patients (and parents) as Dr. Tari.

Dr. Tari graduated from Kearney High School in 1978 and from Kearney State College 1981. She attended dental school at the University of Nebraska and graduated in 1987. From there she attended the Medical College of Virginia to receive her Pediatric Specialty training in 1989 and the Tooth Fairy was born that December.

She is married to Kent Maaske who is originally from Bertrand, NE and they have a son, Jacob. Her parents and brother also live in Kearney.

Her training in Pediatrics include sedation dentistry and hospital dentistry. Her favorite things are happy kids, singing for her church, and watching her son play football, hockey and golf.

Shelly Ryan - Dental Hygienist (Ms. Shelly)

Shelly has been in the dental field since 1993. She Graduated in Dental Hygiene at Iowa Western, affiliated with Creighton University, in 2004. She joined the Tooth Fairy in 2013. Outside of work Shelly enjoys her time with husband, son and daughter.

Christina Phelps - Dental Assistant (Ms. Christina)

Hello! I am Miss Christina. I have been a dental assistant for 6 years. I am originally from Montana. I graduated from Apollo College in Spokane, WA in 2006 and moved to Kearney in 2008. I have been married for 15 years and have 3 children. My favorite thing to do is spend time with them and especially to go on family camping trips.
Michelle Limbach - Office Manager (Ms. Michelle)

I started here at the Tooth Fairy in February of 2008 as an office assistant and became Office Manager in December of 2012. I grew up in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School in 1989. I have lived in Kearney since 1994. I enjoy bowling, I started when I was 8 years old and have recently attempted golfing.
Ashley Bear - Office Assistant (Ms. Ashley)

Hi, I am Miss Ashley and I was born and raised in Kearney, NE. I however went to Amherst Public School for grades 5-12 and graduated in 2004. I then started my studies at UNK in the Fall of 2004. In the Fall of 2008 I went to Kansas City, KS to attend Kansas City Kansas Community College. I graduated from KCKCC in May, 2009, with an Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. I then returned to Kearney to finish my studies at UNK. I graduated in December, 2010, with a Bachelors Degree in Organizational Communication. I have worked at the Tooth Fairy since 2004 except for when I was in Kansas. Other than the Tooth Fairy I also work at Good Samaritan Hospital in Patient Access.
